Create an event calendar website

Do you want to give your target audience a clear overview of all upcoming events? Use Momice creatively and build an event calendar. In this article, we’ll show you how it works.

Why build an event calendar?

An event calendar provides visitors with a better overview of all upcoming events. This way, they can easily register for the events that interest them.

In some cases, an event consists of several separate sessions spread over multiple days—or even a series of events. An event calendar is also a handy solution for that.

Follow these steps:

For each event or session, you’ll need a separate registration form. Since you can only create one registration form per Momice event, you should create a separate website for each event or session. Don’t forget to customize the registration confirmation for every event as well.

TIP: Fully design one website in the right style, then duplicate it for the other sessions. Just make sure to check the settings in Step 1 afterwards, such as the event title and date.

  1. Create an event website where you will build the event calendar. This will serve as the foundation.

  2. Use the Speakers page as the agenda. Add a “speaker” for each session or event. In the open text field, you can insert the necessary information. Tip: Design the “speaker” images nicely in Canva or PowerPoint, so the sessions really stand out.

  3. Add a hyperlink in the text field. For example: “Click here to register.” Insert the link to the registration form for that specific session. Repeat this step for all “speakers.”

How it works for participants

Your target audience now has one clear overview of all sessions and/or events on the main website. Through the images, they can access more information about each specific session. By clicking the hyperlink in the text, they are taken directly to the registration form for that session. This makes everything very clear and easy to navigate.
