With the Interaction Module, you can actively engage participants during your in-person event. You can use this module for:
- Chat: participants can post messages that are visible to everyone.
- Polls: participants can vote on an answer or submit an open response through a word cloud.
- Audience Questions: participants can submit questions for the moderator or to be displayed on a screen.
Important
The Interaction Module is a paid feature. You can purchase it:
- for a single event as an event upgrade.
- for all events as an event add-on, valid until the end of the current license period.

How it works for the organizer
Preparation
Before you can use audience interaction, first set up one or more program items on the program page of the Website Module.
Step 1: Add a program item
Add one or more program items to the program page of the Website Module.
Step 2: Enable audience interaction per item
A lightbox appears for each program item.
- Open the lightbox.
- Go to the "Interaction" tab.
- Choose which interaction type you want to activate:
- Chat
- Polls
- Audience Questions
- Indicate whether participants are allowed to vote anonymously.
Step 3: Prepare polls or word clouds
- Go to the Interaction Module.
- Select the correct program item from the dropdown menu.
- Prepare your poll statements or word cloud questions here.
- Drag the questions into the desired order.
During the event
Show participation instructions on screen
Do you want to let participants know how they can join? First show the instruction screen.
- Open the Interaction Module.
- Select the correct program item.
- Go to the "Polls" tab.
- Open the "Poll results page" in a separate tab.
- Share this URL with the production team as an external source, so it can be shown on the screen in the room.
- Activate: Show participation instructions on results page.
Participants will now see the instruction screen and can:
- scan the QR code
- or manually enter the URL on their smartphone

Please note: The instruction screen can only be shown if access is set to public.
Tip
You can show the instruction screen again on the results screen at any time.
If votes have already been submitted for an active poll, they will be saved and you can show the results again later.
Using polls
- Open the Interaction Module.
- Select the correct program item.
- Go to the "Polls" tab.
- Open the "Poll results page" in a separate tab.
- Share this URL with the production team as an external source.
This is the same URL used for the instruction screen.

Activate a poll or word cloud
- Turn on the toggle for the poll or word cloud you want to use.
- Participants can now vote or submit an answer.
Show results on screen
- Turn on the toggle for "Results".
- The answers will now be shown on the results page.
Move to the next poll
- Turn on the toggle for the next question.
- Participants can only vote on the poll that is currently active.
Tip
Using a word cloud? Advise participants to enter no more than 2 words. This keeps the display clear and easy to read.
Poll results are saved. You can reactivate an earlier poll later and show the results again.
Managing audience questions
With audience questions, participants can submit questions directly.
- Open the correct program item.
- Go to the "Audience Questions" tab.
- Open the "Audience Questions results page" in a separate tab.
- Share the URL with the production team as an external source.
Are you only using the questions for the moderator and not showing them on screen? Then share the URL with the moderator.

Show a question on screen
Select the question using the star icon.
Archive an answered question
- Click the archive icon next to the question.
- The question will move to the archive.
- It will no longer be shown on screen.
Questions you do not select are only visible to you as the moderator. This makes it easy to keep unwanted or incomplete questions off screen or archive them right away.
Using chat
You manage access to the chat in the "Chat" tab of the relevant program item. The chat works as follows:
- participants choose for themselves whether they want to join the chat.
- messages are visible to all participants.
- 1-on-1 messages are not possible.

Important
- As an organizer, you can only monitor the chat if you are also logged in as a participant.
- Chat messages are not stored in Momice and cannot be exported.
TIP: Take screenshots of the chat messages or copy the full chat history.
After the event
You can view and export the results of polls and audience interaction through the "Results" tab of each program item.

Anonymous participation
Did you enable anonymous participation? If so, each anonymous voter will get a separate column in the Excel file.
You will not see who submitted which answer, but you will be able to see which answers belong to the same anonymous participant.
How it works for the participant
- The participant scans the QR code on the instruction screen or enters the URL in the browser.
- The participant is taken to the event website in the "Polls" tab.
- Here, the participant sees the poll that is currently active.
- The participant can vote right away.
- The participant can always change their answer.
The most recent answer submitted will be shown on the results page. If no poll is active at that moment, the participant will see a message saying so.
From the same environment, the participant can also navigate to:
- Chat
- Audience Questions
